The MakePDFA.NET is a .NET component which is able to convert Office 2003/2007 documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) to PDF or PDF/A-1b. The main purpose of the component is that provides an unified interface to convert several document types to PDF or PDF/A. Additional formats which are supported are:

The setup will install all the needed binaries and a sample Visual C# 2008 project. The sample project requires Visual Studio 2008 (Express editions are also supported).
The sample application contains the following class "Office2PdfConverter". The class has an initialization method where all supported engines are added to the engine manager. The default associations are also configured. The sample application also saves and restores the configuration settings (EngineManagerSettings.xml). To convert a document to PDF or PDF/A call the "Convert" method of the Office2PdfConverter class. For more details please consult the source code of the sample project.
In order to convert Office documents to PDF or PDF/A the eDocPrintPro (or eDocPrintPro PDF/A AddOn) and MS Office 2003/2007 should be installed. The FREngine pluging requires the FREngine.
