New features FileConverterPro:
- New iOCR language manager: Previously, a basic set of iOCR languages was installed with the setup. If you wanted to use additional iOCR languages that were not installed by default, you had to download a comprehensive complete setup with all available languages, and all languages were then installed.
With the new iOCR Language Manager, it is now possible to install or remove specific language packages as needed. An Internet connection is required to download languages. If there is no active Internet connection, it is also possible to download the required languages from another computer, save them as a ZIP file, and then install them offline on the FileConverterPro computer using the ZIP file.
Bug fixes have also been made for iOCR languages with other character sets, e.g., Greek.
The iOCR Language Manager is a standalone application and is started with administrator rights.
- HiQ-Direct – HTML to PDF – configurable timeout – previously, the timeout for the HiQ-Direct converter was fixed at 10 seconds and could not be adjusted. If a web page or link from the HTML code did not respond within this time, an error was thrown and the HTML to PDF conversion could not be performed. For example, the email body of MSG/EML files is usually HTML text. This timeout is now configurable and preset to 120 seconds by default.
