eDocPrintPro DropZone – Version 1.3.7 available

Innovations Version 1.3.7:

Now all additional and with different settings and names created eDocPrintPro printerderivers will be supported. Each printerdriver can have configured different Plugin Sets. Those individual Plugins again can have different setting again in each printerdriver.
Functions for eDocPrintPro settings profiles (ESFX): import, export, create, rename, delete or activate a configuration profile for the selected printer driver.
A setup for both 32 and 64 bit operating systems

Note: Momentan erfolgt nach der DropZone Plugin Verarbeitung der PDF Datei keine nach gelagerte Aktion aus den eDocPrintPro “Aktion” Einstellungen d.h. es wird falls in den Druckereinstellungen konfiguriert keine verknüpfte Anwendung gestartet, die Ergebnisdatei nicht automatisch in einem Ausgabe-Ordner abgelegt bzw. auch keine Kommandozeilen Anwendung gestartet. Diese Aktionen müssen über entsprechend installierte Plugin´s durchgeführt werden – z.b. können die kostenlosen Plugins – “Copy to folder” oder “Aktion ausführen” dafür verwendet werden. Mit der nächsten Version werden wir die konfigurierten Aktions-Einstellungen des eDocPrintPro Treibers auch über die DropZone verwalten und ausführen.

FileConverterPro (FCpro) – Version 1.0.43 – installation requirements

When installing FCPro version 1.0.43 different installation requirements are checked – if they are met, these installation steps are skipped by the setup and not executed.

The following components are checked and installed later if necessary:

If these components are already installed so they are not loaded and only FCPro is installed. If all or individual components are not present or not in the appropriate version available, so the FCPro Setup tries to reload and install them from our FTP server. That if an installation without an internet connection is to be made, so the Setup’s of these components should first be downloaded and installed in this order.

The FCPro settings and the license remain on uninstall / Version Update.

FileConverterPro (FCpro) – Version 1.0.43 available

Innovations FCpro Version 1.0.43:

Updating of the basic components for the direct conversion and IOCR.
Separating the PDFExport setting profiles of the FCPro processing profiles. These can now independently managed and assigned to a FCPro profile. Features: Enable, Disable, and mapping via list selection.
New GFIX extension instead GFI for PDFExport profiles. The GFIX file is a ZIP container that contains beside the GFI-XML file with the settings, now all the files associated with the profile (PDF, DOCX, TOC).
In addition to the name can be specified a descriptive text for the PDFExport profiles.
Export / import of PDF export profiles as GFIX files with all related files.

The PDF bookmarks text for e-mail message and Internet headers are configurable and can be managed through the language profiles.

The bookmark for the e mail attachments are now inserted hierarchically below the bookmarks for the email message and not at the same level.
Option: Insert Internet headers to the message, or at the end of the converted email.
Function: display all available iFilters on the computer for Text Extraction.

DWG Converter that is called via command line, there is a timeout option – default on 30sec. adjusted. This helps stuck DWG2PDF processes, according to the set time-out, are automatically removed from memoryn. In the past, several of stopped DWG Converter processes could utilize the FCPro server 100%.

Separate licensing option for FCPro options base, plus OCR and plus PDF/A
Custom separate setup for the OCR component – The setup checks during the installation if IOCR is already installed. If no, it is reloaded and installed via FTP. The FCPro setup becomes smaller. IOCR can be used by multiple applications and must be installed only once. Likewise IOCR updates are therefore easier and the installation of additional languages is therefore possible.

An EXE – Setup can not be installed

We use EXE setups to be able to automatically check if all installation requirements are met. To uninstall old versions automatically, to automatically load the required programs in the correct versions or to decide whether a 32bit or 64bit version of the program should be installed on the computer.

For a few computers, it may happen that the EXE setup will not install and will display an error message that a process can not access a file.

To still be able to install the software, the MSI setup must be done in place of the EXE.

With the command /extract: <Pfad> (z.B.: Mypackage.exe /extract:”C:\My work”) can be extracted the MSI individual components from the EXE to the specified destination path and executed from there and so the software can be installed

iPaper – 100% Terminal server utilization by virus scanner

Almost every company uses virus scanners on both clients and servers. Most recently, one of our customers had a problem that after an update to the latest version iPaper, server utilization has risen by a few registered users to 100%. DThe problem is caused by the virus scannert.

To solve the problem, the following files had to be explicitly excluded from the virus monitoring:

iPaper.UI.exe – iPaper Program Folder- C:\Program Files (x86)\iPaper.NET
iPaperPDF.exe or with newer versions also monitor iPaperPDFMonitor.exe at C:\Program Files\Common Files\MAYComputer\iPaperPDF

As eDocPrintPro plugin installed, these functions can be performed after the PDF printing. These functions can be performed also on existing PDFs using the eDocPrintPro DropZone drag and drop or via hot folders.

The settings can be exchanged both between different applications ( FileConverterPro, EMail Archiver, PDFExport Settings Editor, …) and between different workstations.

The independent and freely available PDFExport Settings Editor makes it possible to create and edit such GFIX configuration files independently.

iPaper – Start takes a long time – no internet connection

For security reasons all our Setup’s and applications are using a SHA-256 “Code Sign Certificate” signed by Symantec . However, there are installations in which the e.g. (Citrix) terminal server also for safety reasons has no connection to the Internet. If now called a signed application, the validity of the signature is checked and this may require an Internet connection. Where there is no Internet connection, so the startup can take a long time, because first a “timeout” expires before the application starts.

In order to enable in this case a quick startup, the verification of the signature can be disabled. Given the configuration file named ipaper.UI.exe.config must be copied into the iPaper program path C: \ Program Files (x86) \ iPaper.NET.

Note:

When a document or a program is digitally signed, or the root certificates are not actual, so Windows tries to execute a signature validation on the Internet. If no Internet connection available, this process runs in a time-out and will be continued only after some time. This application seems inactive, or need very long to start.
This configuration file should not be used when an Internet connection is available
The file tells MS-Windows to make no signature verification on the Internet

PDFmdx – Version 2.4.3 – Barcode recognition and improved anchor / search field function

Innovations Version 2.4.3:

Field-Typ – Barcode: With the new field type barcode, it is now also possible to define fields (areas) as type “barcode”. From the specified range will not be read the text, but carried out a 1D barcode recognition by the selected bar code type and the recognized value is returned.

PDFScanEdit provides, easy to use, page-oriented functions for comprehensive processing of PDF and image documents. A tool should not be missing on a workplace because it provides the most important and most frequently used functions for editing PDF scanned documents.

Features PDFScanEdit:

Processes PDF and image files. Black & white, grayscale, color, – it is not necessary to pay attention to differences in file format and color – all functions are implemented across.
Page Preview – Zoom, scroll, page selection, rotating – and thumbnails of all pages

Integrated scan function to capture documents via a locally attached TWAIN scanner. Scan settings can be selected directly via presettable scan profiles.
